NOTICE OF VACANCY

 

 

POSITION:                VARSITY FOOTBALL COACH

     

REPORTS TO:            Athletic Director

 

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior coaching experience with exposure at the varsity level preferred.
• Exhibit high moral and ethical conduct and display a positive value system as a role model for the student-athletes.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the sport regarding strategy and player development.
• Display good judgment in dealing with parents, the team, administration, the community, and the media.
• Develop a program that is immersed in the vision of the athletic department in terms of developing the student-athlete and the department as a whole.
• Communicate and work effectively with fellow coaches, fellow staff members, district administration, and the community.
• Fulfill CPS and MHSAA requirements upon hire.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Prior varsity coaching experience.
• Experience with an educational institution.
• A valid Michigan Teachers Certificate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The coach shall be directly responsible to the Athletic Director for the administration, supervision, and evaluation of matters pertaining to his/her assigned areas of responsibility.  He/she is responsible for the organization, coordination, and interpretation of the sport function.

 

SALARY:  As per contract.
