NOTICE OF VACANCY

 

 

POSITION:                        Jr/Sr High School Art Teacher

 

REPORTS TO:                     Jr/Sr High School Principal

 

STARTING DATE:               Immediately

 

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Art certification (LQ, LX, or LZ)
• Graduate of a recognized college or university.
• Highly Qualified, as defined by the Michigan Department of Education.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

• Teach jr/sr high school art classes utilizing a course of study adopted by the Board of Education.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and appropriate learning activities.
• Create a safe and respectful classroom environment for all learners.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to engage all learners.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons and units.   
• Establish and maintain positive classroom management that aligns with the district-wide implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports.
• Exhibit a strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with students, parents, the jr/sr high school staff, and district administration. 

 

SALARY:   As per contract.
