NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: VARSITY FOOTBALL COACH
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior coaching experience with exposure at the varsity level preferred.
- Exhibit high moral and ethical conduct and display a positive value system as a role model for the student-athletes.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the sport regarding strategy and player development.
- Display good judgment in dealing with parents, the team, administration, the community, and the media.
- Develop a program that is immersed in the vision of the athletic department in terms of developing the student-athlete and the department as a whole.
- Communicate and work effectively with fellow coaches, fellow staff members, district administration, and the community.
- Fulfill CPS and MHSAA requirements upon hire.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior varsity coaching experience.
- Experience with an educational institution.
- A valid Michigan Teachers Certificate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The coach shall be directly responsible to the Athletic Director for the administration, supervision, and evaluation of matters pertaining to his/her assigned areas of responsibility. He/she is responsible for the organization, coordination, and interpretation of the sport function.
SALARY: As per contract.
